Job Description:
Required Technical Skill Set:-
- ServiceNow, Webservices, Javascript
Technical Competency:-
- Working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, mainly with CMDB
- Experience in Setting up the CSDM (Common Service Data Model)
- Experience in uploading data from the discovery tool database to the CMDB database
- Good knowledge of CMDB class structure, relationship model and supporting tools
- Good knowledge of the Identification and Reconciliation process and configuration
- Understanding of CMDB Health factors, measuring them and remediating issues
- Understanding of CMDB automatic population tools: Discovery and Service Mapping
- Experience in defining Mid-Server placement and discovery schedules
- Good knowledge of data sources & transform maps
- Strong relational database / SQL knowledge
- Reconciliation experience (Comparison of multiple sources to evaluate coverage and record enhancement)
Behavioural competency:-
- Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences (verbal and written)
- Excellent Interpersonal skills to work with the project team members collaboratively
- Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration, and retrospectives)
Good-to-Have:-
- Reporting Skills a plus – especially Performance Analytics
- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification in at least one module
ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:-
- Understand the given application requirements (or User Stories)
- Understand and follow the Best Practices and Standards/Guidelines for development
- Participate in the Daily stand-up meetings and understand the changes proposed on the requirements/user stories
- Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks in an effective manner, meeting designated standards and criteria
- Responsible for the code quality of assigned tasks
- Perform Unit Testing and do documentation as required
- Provide support to the users during the User Acceptance Testing
- Provide any required training to the users on the user stories
- Develop, test and maintain Integrations within ServiceNow
- Communicate ServiceNow best practice principles with developers of external systems in situations where these systems require configuration or customization for the integration
