Job Description:
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Technical Competency:-
Must-Have
- Experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer and Implementing Incident
- Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge
- Management, or Service Catalog, Mobile App, Virtual Agent
- Ability to configure ServiceNow ITSM applications in alignment with
approved design plans
- Knowledge of unit testing, system integration testing, performance
testing, user acceptance testing, or any client-specific testing
- Experience with developing ServiceNow software solutions using
- JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, XML, HTML and CSS
- Familiarity with SQL query creation and LDAP Query for connecting to
and pulling data from Oracle, MySQL databases and AD respectively
- Worked with and understands the value of creating repeatable
processes to design development, test, staging and production
environments that are reliable with high availability
- Must be ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
- Should possess knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Basic knowledge of ITIL/industry standards
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Behavioural competency:-
- Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical
audiences (verbal and written)
- Excellent Interpersonal skills to work with the project team members
collaboratively
- Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-
iteration, and retrospectives)
Good-to-Have:-
- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification
- ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification
- Java developer certification
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
- Understand the given application requirements (or User Stories)
- Understand and follow the Best Practices and Standards/Guidelines for development
- Participate in the Daily stand-up meetings and understand the changes proposed on the requirements /user stories
- Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks in an effective manner, meeting designated standards and criteria
- Responsible for the code quality of assigned tasks
- Perform Unit Testing and do documentation as required
- Provide support to the users during the User Acceptance Testing
- Provide any required training to the users on the user stories
