As part of the Workplace team and reporting to the Global IT Infrastructure Modern Workplace Manager, the Microsoft SCCM role will play a critical role in managing all the endpoints (PCs, Laptops, mobile devices, POS devices) worldwide distributed.
The SCCM Engineer will be responsible for providing design, deploying, configuring, and support of desktop technologies in a distributed environment.
The SCCM Engineer will be responsible for software distribution and patch management as well as building and deploying software packages to the end-point ecosystem.
The SCCM Engineer is responsible for providing timely and effective 2nd line support services and for completing assigned Desktop Projects in a networked desktop environment.
This individual will provide support services to international offices and will deal with issues that cannot be resolved by the 1st Line Support Team.
The person will work closely with the Infrastructure and Project management team.
Responsibilities:
To create, maintain and enhance corporate Windows images as per requirement, by using SCCM / MDT tools.
Maintain, update and enhance the software distribution packages/application portfolio.
Troubleshooting of complex incidents or those that simply need desk-side assistance.
To create and update in-house documentation for the IT Service Desk and other IT support teams.
Liaise with other IT teams regarding incidents requiring multiple discipline involvement (issues at L2 / L3 with computer provisioning (OS, applications, and updates).
Understand and comply with licensing requirements for software installed.
Knowledge of SCCM Server upgrades, setting up remote SCCM Distribution points, and being able to manage service points to provide policy and download content.
