Azure VDI administrator responsible to manage the VDI On-prem / Azure Cloud-based environment and work with other Stefanini Enterprise Services team to support current and review new end-user technologies, develops standard end-user environments for customers globally
- Handle Level 3 issues/escalations within the VDI Infrastructure
- Identify and Implement enhancements, feature upgrades, and version upgrades
- Develop and maintain SOPs for the VDI environment
- Coordinate refresh activities, Manage access/allocation of VDI capacity requests
- Publish reports of VM usage trends, denials, and KPI metrics.
- Develop and maintain VDI Images, and Cloud Image activities
- Participate in other Global Client Virtualization/VDI projects as assigned
- Provides documentation, process and training to service desk and Administrator level team members
- Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during outages or other issues.
- Develop plans for deploying and administering virtual machines, images, and virtual apps
- Develop and communicate HA/resiliency standards to ensure business and operational requirements are being met
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Utilize Azure Site Recovery for disaster recovery failover
- Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and identifying the severity of the issue
- Ability to Resolve issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA, and ITIL knowledge
- Serve as a technical resource for infrastructure initiatives that require virtual machine and VDI expertise
- Provision of the required RBAC roles in Azure AD
- Configure apps and desktops host pools for users
- Collaborate with operational counterparts to support and discover opportunities for improvement via automation, process improvements, etc.
